Top Recommendations for Romantic Dining in Wicker Park

January 29, 2020 | ALL POSTS, WICKER PARK HOT SPOTS

Love is in the air.  That undeniably sweet, romantic pitter-patter that tugs at your heart strings.  Valentine’s Day reminds us to stop and smell the red roses and appreciate the people closest to us.  And what better way to express our love than over a romantic meal.

Wicker Park has some of the most romantic restaurants that are sure to make your heart skip a beat.  I love recommending these to guests who stay at the Wicker Park Inn for a romantic get-away.  And I am happy to share these personal favorites with you!  So grab that special someone, girl gang, or close friend and check out my recommendations for the most romantic places to dine in Wicker Park!

Le Bouchon

Classic French Bistro that will transport you to Paris.  From the mussels meuniere, steak and pommes frites, to the bouillabaisse.  The restaurant has been a local favorite since 1993 and for good reason.  The food is rich, the service is impeccable, and the energy is infectious.

Folklore

Dimly lit by candlelit, this Argentinean Steakhouse has it all – a full bar with outstanding cocktails, an abundant menu, and a rich latin ambiance that oozes romance.  The dishes are hardy so bring your appetite.  I highly recommend El Che for you and El Filet for your partner.

Mindy’s Hot Chocolate

From acclaimed pastry chef Mindy Segal, this michelin-star restaurant boasts a seasonal menu of American fare.  Make sure you save room for dessert, especially the rich hot chocolate!

The Bristol

A farm-to-table American Restaurant that truly delivers.  They use seasonal ingredients from local farms and produce the most delightful dishes served in an intimate restaurant.  And if you’re a couple looking for a memorable spot to host a rehearsal dinner, I highly recommend the spacious, second floor complete with a wood-burning fireplace and personal bar.

Wicker Park Inn

Ok, ok, I’m usually not one to promote myself.  But it just so happens that we are hosting a romantic 3-course cooking class in our kitchen on February 13th.  There’s something about cooking together that brings people closer.  And you don’t have to be an expert to pull off this meal.  Chef Suarez will teach you how to prepare shaved asparagus, juicy steak with a side of grits.  And to top it off, a delicious creme brulee for dessert.  Yum!!
