Sept 15 - 17
The summer music festival season is finally winding down, and, since its inception in 2005, Riot Fest has provided a fitting finale. The half-music-festival, half-carnival event casts a pretty wide net when it comes to musical acts, leaning into its punk-rock roots, but also striving for diversity of acts.
West Loop Art Fest
Sept 16 & 17
The hugely successful West Loop Art Fest returns for its third year on Saturday and Sunday, September 16th and 17th in the heart of Chicago’s vibrant West Loop; on Fulton Street from Morgan to Racine. Featuring four blocks of amazing art, dozens of live musical acts, interactive artist demonstrations, hot glass blowers, muralists at work on one of the largest pieces in the city, fire dancers, street entertainers, food trucks and more, the West Loop Art Fest is not to be missed!
Sept 16 & 17
For the first time ever, the traveling Midnight Circus heads to Wicker Park's namesake park.
The family-friendly shows start at 2 and 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at 1425 N. Damen Ave. in Wicker Park, just south of the CTA Damen "L" station.
Tickets — $15 for children and $20 for adults — can be bought here. Children under age 2 get in free.
Proceeds from the four weekend shows will benefit improvements at the park, including this winter's planned ice skating rink.
